DUAL CS-5000 will not auto return

Picked up a DUAL CS-5000 does not auto return. The tonearm rides out the album to the end then just lifts and stops, the if I try to play it doesn't work. If I lift the tonearm manually at the end and bring back to the rest it works great. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this problem. Other than the no auto return it sounds great.

You need to replace the Steuerpimple. It is Dual part number 237660 it is a small silicon rubber cap that makes contact with the arm mechanism to return the arm to the rest position. You will find them on ebay. Easy fix and an easy job and all you have to do is put the new one on the spring loaded arm under the arm mechanism.

It doesn't have auto return, just auto lift and shut off. Great TT imho.

Thanks bluestime, I'm glad nothing is wrong with it then, and thanks Thunderbox for the knowledge on the Dual part. It got looking and found a lot of good stuff on the turntable.
