I have bought used DUAL CS 520 fully automatic turntable. It played well for about an hour, but then after replacing the vinyl and auto-starting again it did not move on to plate. The motor and plate started to run if I nudged the plate a little. But the speed was off (30 instead of 33 that was).
I took apart the turntable and played motor without the belt and it seems that the motor it self does not self-start when tonearm is moved on plate. The motor needs a little nudge and then runs. I added some motor oil and the motor started to run with less noise, but still needs the nudge. However, sometimes it does start with arm movement (rarely).
Here is a video about what I am dealing with: https://www.reddit.com/r/turntables...urce=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
Here are motor photos (Dual dc200): https://www.google.com/search?q=dua...KHVRXDFwQ_AUoAXoECAIQAQ&biw=414&bih=720&dpr=2
Any idea what can be the issue? Any help is appreciated.
Ps.: does anyone knows how speed of this motor can be adjusted?
