Dual cs503-1 motor change

Hi, I hope this hasn't been done to death and you're all in fed up of it.....But dual cs503-1 motor.....replacement is easy but can I use a 3 speed motor and just not connect the 78rpm cable or will 8 make the smoke come out of the wires? Or am I better to get a stronger.motor wg.from a cs505 series?

That's a completely different AC motor, which definitely won't fit. Hence I'd suggest to get the original DC210(-1) motor, so that everything fits (size, mounting, supply voltage, pulley diameter and height...) - see there: https://www.dualfred.de/Drive/Motor/Motor-274789-en.html
