Dual headshell grounding pin reattachment 1219

While Troubleshooting a channel drop the small copper grounding fang on the headshell—which had been dubiously loose—came off.

how is this thing attached?

is it a pressure fit with the 4 tiny teeth gripping the raised ridge?

any help in reattaching this would be greatly appreciated.

Uh oh! I haven't had to deal with this issue before but I'd probably set it in there loose then dab a little 5 minute epoxy on top of it around the little nub that protrudes through the piece. However you do it you just gotta make sure there's continuity between the surfaces when all is said and done.

Or JB weld since it’s conductive.

I would gently hammer down the little tabs in the center hole of the ground and then press it onto the nub that I'm pointing to.

That’s more or less what I tried—had to call in a second set of hands so we could apply pressure to both sides simultaneously with a mini flathead screwdriver.
But it wasn’t having it.

maybe I’ll inspect the teeth a little more to see if they can be adjusted.
