I'm interested in building an RCA switch box. I'm technically inclined but have never done anything like this so I don't know the technical details of what is a good or bad idea as far as sound quality, and the best way to achieve this schematically.
I have multiple sources, let's say 2 turntables and maybe an aux-in, that would go into the switch box. Then I want to tell the signal to go one of two routes. Either straight to the receiver or to one of 2 headphone/pre-amps and then to the receiver.
I'd like only one cable running into the receiver so the switch box would control everything. So I think both headphone/pre-amps would have to come back into the same switch box and then out to the receiver.
What would you guys recommend?
