Have these Pioneer CS-701 spkrs. Woofers are 12in. dust caps are about 4in. (big) One of them is pushed in, but does not seem to effect the sound. Just looks like crap! Tried the vacume rutine with no luck ( caps to big) Afraid to use tape because i might tear them. Anybody have any luck pulling these back out?? thank,s for any info:scratch2:

Try a straight pin with a slight 'hook' in the end of it. Yeah, there'll be a small hole but, if you're careful, no one will see it from two feet away. And, I won't tell.

Cut it off as close to the cone as possible (without cutting the cone!) and slightly wet the back of the dented cap (now loose) and reform it into shape with a rounded object of some sort, then let it dry and glue in back in place.
