DVD SACD Carousel SONY ??? Help?

I have a couple of Sony SCD-CE595. I bought them because they were inexpensive and I had read on Audio Karma about the nice audio chip and their SACD capability. They have worked out well!

Presently in my main system of Infinity RS 2.5 speakers, Crown PSA-2DX amp, Crown Straight Line One preamp, I am using an Onkyo DV-CP702 which has only one line audio output L&R. I would like to replace this Onkyo with a DVD SACD Carousel with two audio outputs. I am a Sony fan and have been looking at: Sony DVP-NC650, Sony DVP-NC685V and Sony DVP-NC555ES (does not seem to offer SACD). Any comments on these Sony unit and I am open to other suggestions, please make them!

I am looking for a DVD, SACD, Carousel, with two audio outputs, with good audio output. Any suggestions?

You know, I am particularly curious about Audio Karma response to this Sony DVP-NC55ES. It has all the parameters I want: DVD, SACD, Carousel, but is the audio like the Sony SCD-CE595 that I have?
 
There are 9 Sony SCD-CE595 for sale on Amazon all less the $200 USD. The $200 dollar unit is new in the box.
 
I've had the Sony DVP-NC685V since 2004 or so. It's been trouble free and sounds good - I've really mainly used it for music and I bought it originally due to the fact that I wanted to get into SACD.
 
The NC555ES unit is probably superior in SQ. ES units are typically built to higher standards with more design tricks.

I once had several Sony SACD players including the CE595 and found them all close in SQ.

You may not be able to detect any differences.

BTW congratulations on the RS2.5s. I loved mine.
 
AFAIK Sony never made a universal player that would play hi res DVD Audio, probably because they created the SACD format. Their DVD/Blu ray players will play the lossy DTS 5.1 track. You have to look at other brands like Denon, Yamaha, Oppo to get that capability.

Note also that SONY has several Blu Ray players that play SACD via HDMI that ran < $200 new and can probably found for <$100 now. Personally I've only got 1 DVD Audio out of my 1000's of CD's vs. about a dozen SACD's.

I recently acquired a DVP-NC555ES and I'm very happy with it. Good sound, good interface, substantial build quality and a quiet transport for a carousel. It replaced a Marantz DV-6600 that was no slouch, but the Sony sounds better.

FWIW the DVP-NC555ES sounds substantially better - on both Redbook and SACD - than the Sony DVP-NC80V that I used to have.

Sony's first player, of any sort, that was compatible with DVD-Audio was last year's UHP-H1....

The UHP-H1 was cleared out, for $200 brand-new at my local Best Buy, for the current UBP-X800 (no analog outputs) and the UBP-X1000ES
 
just scored one at the dump! no remote, though i have other sony dvd type remotes. happy to try it when i get my yamaha c60/m60 units back from a shop.
 
I can recommend the SONY DVP-NC80V, I have a few in various spaces on my home. Found each one at thrift stores, never had an issue with one. They are also great for discs that have had a "rough" life.
Plays CD's that other players will just sit and skip on.
