Dynaco A-150L?

Hi Friends,

Anyone know anything about the Dynaco a-150L speakers? I can not find much of anything online. I suspect they may be from the late 70's early 80's, walnut linear cabs, 2 way speaker? I can pick up a set for roughly 50.00 with stands. Any thoughts out there?

I had never heard of these, but the Wikipedia article on Dynaco has a little info, not encouraging:

After Dynaco closed its USA operations, its former Canadian subsidiary released the Dynaco A-150, A-250, and A-350 speakers, all manufactured in Canton, Massachusetts. Critical reviews of the new audio speakers were not favorable, and they disappeared from the market in the mid-1980s

So it seems as if they're Dynaco in name only and have no relation to either the original company or the current Panor-owned version.

thanks Swech-Interesting. Hmmm, could be worth the 50 bucks to see what they're all about. they seem to be in great shape.

Well, I wouldn't buy them without an audition first. Although the price seems right, especially if they're decent stands.

Sounded good enough for 40 bucks with the stands.. Hooked them up and went back and forth between them and pair of KLH Model six's to get a comparison. they're pretty even, maybe KLH is a little clearer and probably can handle more power. Stands look good and overall the two cabs are pretty much flawless with some unappealing grills. They'll do just fine in the basement.
