Dynaco A25 vs A150

I believe I bought a pair of Panor era Dynaco A150's sold as A25's. I haven't received them as of yet, should be here in a day or so. The only difference I can tell is that the tweeter is Axis aligned as opposed to offset and the cabinet is .75" thinner depth wise.

It appears that the drivers are SEAS and otherwise is identical to the A25's. What can I expect...they will be auditioned with my Dynaco ST-70 and hope it will be a good match.

not sure the 1/4 inch cabs will give you good sound. As the a 25s appear to have one inch or so cabs. Just looked. Didnt measure though.

Try them. The crossover isnt very complex in the a25, AS ive heard. Just an inline cap.

Do you have any pics? Big Jim is correct on the A-25 crossover. Just a capacitor and an attenuator complete with 5 resistors. The woofer just rolls off. About as simple as it gets. I think the simplicity is what makes them good.

I think you mis-understood, the wood on the cabs is the same as the A-25's, but the overall dimensions are a tad smaller. No pictures yet, should be here today. I beleive that they're the same in all aspects as the A-25's, but just a slightly different speaker placement, with the same x/over and as already noted, a 5 way treble trim pot/attentunator.
