Dynaco A25 WV - Anyone heard of these ? please help

I know the Dynaco A25 are a very popular speaker on here, but has anyone heard of the Dynaco A25-WV (vinyl veneer instead of wood)

This is the description from seller "These sound a little deeper and stronger than stock A-25. The highs are stronger too- they have the "fried egg" tweeters. I think the drivers are a little heavier- the speakers weigh slightly more than their more famous A-25 relatives. These sound great and are in good shape."


Does anyone have any info they can provide me with. I am new to the speakers. He is asking $160.

do a googleAK search on A-25WV. There have been several threads recently on these speakers.

According to the following thread on The Classic Speaker Pages, there was a later version of the A-25 WV which had a red tweeter and was made in the USA rather than Denmark. This could possibly be what your seller has.

I had a pair of these in my basement. Sounded good, but ugly due to the vinyl veneer.

AK member Snade divested himself of a pair to my friend about a year ago. They sound the same as my "standard" A25s.

We hooked both pair together on my second best system and our jaws dropped. But I digress.....
