Sold my oldest pair of A25's today.Bought them new in 1969 and was sorry to let them go but c'est la vie.The dollars were to great to pass by($350 cash Canadian!The guy just had to have em and seeing I'm working on restoring some 3-way Bozaks(15" woofer) the money will go a long way in helping me finish those.Oh well............lol

One owner, low miles, never driven hard, only to church on Sundays, boxes and packing material...but still that is a nice price. I think most of us would do the same.

Bouxy- Thanks for posting this info. The SA I bought mine from for $20 just called and said I owe them another $330 or they won't let me shop there anymore........ :D
 
I'd put some of that money into the other set of speakers you are fixing up, and set aside $50-100 for the replacement pair of A25s that will surely come along, sooner or later. You can easily wait, because you have other speakers to enjoy in the meantime. Just don't tell the guy who bought yours for $350 when that day comes along, or you'll probably make him feel bad. [And of course, when you find the thrift shop pair for only $25, you'll have even more extra cash freed up for something else!]

Hey.....if spending $350 on a pair of A-25's makes everyone involved happy.....then it's a WIN-WIN situation all the way around!

Hey guys,yes I sold my original A25'S for big bucks but that's not to say that I don't have 2 more pairs lying around which I do.Both these pair came from different thrift stores,1 pr cost me $40 and the other $15.The guy who bought my personal pair paid what he did because I could show him the original,matching #'s bill of sale from 1969 and also still had all the original boxes etal and to him this was I guess special!Also my pair looked exactly like the day I bought them.He told me he had seen some others that were being sold locally and cheaper but not in the shape mine were.I guess I lucked out and hit the lottery with this guy!

All kidding aside parting with gear like that is not really about the money anyway. The pride,care and memories associated with them really makes them priceless.
