Now that's the kind of ad you like to see! Seems the seller understands the product, answers the basic questions you want to know and includes good pics.

Great speakers, but those grilles need a good cleaning; most likely a recovering. I had a set with worse rust and black on them and couldn't get them clean.

$189 is a bit optimistic for that set, but they seem to bounce around from $80 to $300+, so who knows??

I just bought a set here that looks nicer and paid an astounding (for me!!) $100! But if you figure in shipping and pre-buy, hands on inspection, it was quite a deal.

... that dustcap looks a little suspect... but I have zero experience with these... however, am thinking of making an offer. maybe

9 out of 10 for cosmetics? Badges are missing and the grill cloth looks like it was attacked by a cat with diarrhea.

Veneer looks good though...

So i guess replacing the grill covers with something different - is just sacrilege

The ebay pop up says '25 people looking every hour'. Wow, must be popular. Most things I look at on the bay show a few people looking at most.

I like mine in my shop. Will probably leave them there forever. Would like to refinish the wood and replace the grill. No sacrilege possible on a $100-250 pair.

Meh, never really cared for 'em. Sold the last pair I had (along with the factory cartons) and I pass on them anymore. Owned and re-capped many of these over the years and they've always left me underwhelmed. They were pretty good speakers for their price when they were new, but not worth big bucks now IMO.

Most people seem to be at least whelmed by them -- they're pretty well-regarded. I had A-35s back in the day, and they were a pretty tasty little speaker.

$189 is a little rich though, especially give the condition shown.

I paid $75 for mine in pretty much mint shape. Got them in a deal that included a Pioneer SX820. These are one pair of speakers I will never get rid of. They aren't the greatest yet I seem to enjoy them every time I listen to them.
