Dynaco PAS-3X restoration for a klutz

I have a PAS-3X that my father bought sometime between 1966 and 1970. It was his preamp throughout my childhood and holds a lot of sentimental value for me. It works but is in obvious need of a proper restoration. Jacks are loose, I doubt the tubes were ever replaced, it sounds muddy and the two channels don't even sound quite the same.

But I'm a total klutz when it comes to DIY electronics, and believe me I've tried over the years :)

Any resources for restoration where I can not only buy the appropriate kit/parts but pay for someone to do it?

Welcome to AK! Where are you located? If we know, someone may be able to suggest some one.

I'd suggest downloading the corresponding original Dynaco manual and pictorial wiring diagrams from somewhere (unless you have the original hard-copy). If it is your purpose to retain the sentimentality of your father's PAS, then I suggest seeking advice and assistance from those who hold the original Dynaco circuits in good regard, and who will not seek to persuade you to change the original circuit design to a different one in which case it would then cease to be a Dynaco.

Thanks for the tips. I do know what version I have and am well familiar w those resources; re original circuit vs mod'ed, I totally agree. If you have any thoughts on who I might contact to do the work, much appreciated.

My first choice would be George at Audio Regenesis, but I don't know if he is taking in any work right now, and I think you'd have to ship it across the country.
