Dynaco PAT-4 recap questions.

I just aquired a Dynaco pat-4 that needs a recap, and I'm hoping to get some info on the best way to go about it. From what I understand the caps are dried out and wish to replace them with more stable and or efficient ones. If anyone has done a recap to thier pat-4 would like to know how to do this. Polar, bipolar? and all the values and where to find new parts.
Thanks.

There are a couple ways to go with this.
On mine I just ordered cheap lytics and also small value .10 film and foil caps to bypass the lytics.
You may want to try some better quality lytics as there are not that many on each board.
There is a modification on the web from Van Alstine on the power supply and cap changes. Google pat-4.
The mods do help a lot but don't get tantalum caps as stated. They were in vogue at the time but have found to be detrimental.

Thanks, I'll do that.
Just did a recap on a set of 5-way 6 speaker Corals with the help of an AK member and heard a vast inprovement, however the formentioned preamp isn't up to the task just yet.
