Dynaco SCA-35 value

D Years ago I got a Dynaco SCA-35 for a good deal because it was in rough shape. I replaced all the PC boards with new components and replaced the filter caps and also replaced the output tubes with a matched quad pair. After all that I still did not like the sound. I think it just doesn’t have enough power for my listening tastes and Plan to get a new dynaco st-70 Kit with some of the money. I read about a way to upgrade the phono section so I got all the parts required and began the process but didn’t get far as I got overwhelmed. It’s sat for a number of years and I just don’t feel like finishing it as it stressed me out. Wondering what you think it should sell for? I know the transformers alone are worth a decent price and the dynaco 7199 tubes are rare to find.

I can tell you what I have paid in the past, for non-working units. This year I paid 128 dollars for one, and 120 dollars for the other, both complete, but needing total rebuilds. In 2019 I paid 152 for one. In 2018 I paid 260 for one, 268 for another, those were working units. Your amp would just need a little work to finish. If you were to advertise, I would think you could at least get in the neighborhood of 250 - 300 for it, depending on cosmetic condition, and sold with tubes. Would depend on where you advertise, eBay has fees for the sellers and so inflated prices.

With all the work you have done I’d estimate 300 on the low end. More like 500.00
