Dynaco ST-70 or Eico ST-70? Which is best?

hey-Hey!!!,
As far as mods go, power supply filter restoration/upgrades and front end circuitry improvements are univesal. Both amps have the typical marginal componentry associated with commercial AB1 designs. Better caps, better Iron/chokes are a good place to start. Individual power tube bias adjustments are another good idea...:)
cheers,
Douglas

If it were me I would start with the Dynaco ST-70. There are more parts available and many reproduction parts from various vendors like Triode Electronics and www.dynakitparts.com
Dynakitparts also sells complete Dynaco ST-70, ST-35 and Mark IV kits. Soon they will also have a Mark III kit. If you are interested in an UPGRADED Dynaco ST-70 kit which addresses many of the faults that the original amp was saddled with, check out the Ebay link below to a complete Dynaco ST-70 KIT with a stainless steel chassis.
