Early 60's Curtis Mathes console

New member here, loving all y'alls gear, thanks for having me. I picked this Curtis Mathes console up at an estate sale for $200. The cosmetic condition is near immaculate, couldn't even find a fingerprint on it. I'm taking it to a pro for an inspection/recapping next week. Any advice, resources, or info you guys can provide would be awesome. Model number is J2623 ADV, but I can't find anything online specifically referencing this model. Someone ina vintage TV Facebook group guessed, based on the outboard power supply, that it was probably a 60-62 model. Does that sound right? Otherwise, just wanted to share because I'm absolutely smitten with it!

IKR? What Curtis Mathes console ? (Edit: I totally missed the link!)

I always liked the name (along with Stromberg-Carlson, which my family owned) and some of their devices were way cool too. Show us!

Truthfully, what you have is something not many people would have bought because of the price. Curtis Mathes consoles cost as much as the cheapest car Chevy had. Then to bring one back into operation to include updating the picture tube and going color would be an interesting center piece for the right home. Because with period correct home furnishing along with the console that functions, the styling and function would make the console more than a museum piece that sits in the corner of a room. Consoles were the center piece of a room that entertained groups of people instead of a single person doing some critical listening. Such a nice console.....

Where do I find the chassis numbers? Can't open it back up at the moment but do the numbers stamped on the chassis in the gallery I posted not indicate what chassis they are?

Just noticed your username. I think someone on Reddit told me to seek you out on here for a service manual for this thing - "Talk to user tbavis at AudioKarma. Tell him you're looking for Sams set 615 folder 1"
 
Curtis Mathis was the premier maker of fine TV's and radios. The sound may surprise you. An older couple in town was down sizing and the had a big tube CM table radio. I listened to it before buying and thought it sounded better than most German radios of the time. I fully expected to see German innards when I opened it up. Nope. Just good old american tubes on a chassis that wasn't the ridiculously over engineered German style. Good Luck that is one handsome piece and worth saving.

I have crawled all over that site and messaged them, but never heard back. They also have a FB page that looks like it hasn't been touched in a while.
