Being at least a DIY wannabe, I have been looking for drawing software to flesh out some of my goofy ideas. My criteria were that it be free :yes: and easy to learn. I read somewhere about and have been using Google Sketchup. It is the easiest to learn and most instinctive drawing software I have found yet. After a little practice, the attached pic of the cutting tool took about 10 minutes to create.

Very cool. Thanks for that tidbit of info. I'll have to give that a try when I'm planning my listening room.
 
I stumbled onto SketchUp a while back, looking for an easy 3D program for visualizing set designs. It is by far the simplest to learn, most powerful for the price 3D software I have used. The "Pro" version is much nicer, but comes at a Premium price point!
