EAW JF80 - Rebuild

KG-Refurb

New Member
Have an EAW JF80 PA Speaker am trying to put back in action. This is the early edition with two boards making up the X-over network.
Boards use ceramic resistors as follows: R1 - 3.75 ohm, R2 - 18.5 ohm, R3 12.5 ohm, R4 - 2.5 ohm, R5 - 0.33 ohm, & R6 - 4.7 ohm.
All @ 25 watt; (1) each.
These look to be un-obtainium, anybody know a good source for these?
Can I make substitutions, if so what are the rules??
Still a little green on this rebuild hobby, so support is greatly appreciated.
Also, EAW does not sell parts, but were great help in supplying schematics

Thanks for your time on this!!

Was able to find all but the 2.5 and 18.5 ohm resistor. at Parts Express. The 18.5 ohm resistor could be created by connecting a 16 ohm and a 2.4 ohm in series. And substitute another 2.4 ohm for the 2.5. That would be well within tolerance for your application. They're the green 20 watt 1% precision resistors which should be OK. Mount them so they stand off from the circuit board. Resistors generate heat so you want air circulation all around to compensate.
