Does anyone have experience with the $100 - $150 power filter devices sold on ebay. I would like to add something to my system but i can not afford the $3000 - $5000 audiophile units that i see around the internet. So my question is for $150 will the unit or one like it in the link above protect and enhance my system at any level worth the purchase price?
Any and all opinions along with links to information are very welcome!
Thanks

While I'm not familiar with that specifically, a few generalizations.
If your power is noisy, some kind filtration might be useful.
If your power is clean, it will accomplish nothing.

The second half , if you have line noise, I wouldn't know whether that unit will attenuate ( eliminate?) it.
Without trying there's really not way to know.

I can't answer that one. Probably only trial in your situation can.

But I will say this: Some Chi-fi I've had sounds absolutely wonderful, and has been a real bargain. I don't see why they couldn't build power conditioners for much cheaper than the audiophile companies, that work just as well. Try-before-you-buy is much more difficult, however. It's a gamble, but it has paid off, for me.

The other thing to keep in mind is to make sure that the unit is designed for North American 120VAC/60Hz (assuming that you're in North America). The unit the OP linked to appears to be a 220VAC unit, which is the standard in most of Europe and Asia. It also only has 4 North American style outlets, and 6 UK style outlets which would be of limited use in the North America.

Ive been considering upgrading my surge suppressor.

I have been considering refurbishing a used Double Conversion type uninterruptible power supply from Tripp Lite, or this

https://www.blacklionaudio.com/store/power-conditioners/pg-1/

Both can be had for under 300. I dont know what that unit on ebay does. i’d rather stick to me Tripp Lite Isobar surge suppressor.

I wanted to thank everybody for the replies! I ended up going with the recommendation above and it has made a tremendous difference. Plus i am very confident that all my equipment is protected from any surge.
Thanks again
