That beast had been severely 'struck by technician' previously, and was a bit of a chore to restore electrically (including needing four new filter caps at a cost of $200). But, it sounded pretty decent after all the surgery.
Oh...speaking of the caps. I had mentioned that the next BA-5000 to come in here was also getting new caps, and I thought that I might be able to save you $200 by using them if I had only thought of it in advance. Turns out that the caps I pulled from that second 5000 were also leaking, so if it makes you feel any better the idea would have been a bust anyway.
Glad she's there in one piece and functioning.
