BTW, the copy editor in me cringes everytime I see something like this: "These are very unique speakers..."
Once again, people, the term "unique" is an absolute. It means one of a kind and, therefore, cannot be qualified with an adjective or adverb. Unique is not synonymous with unusual, interesting, rare, innovative, etc.

yeah, I hear you... as in "first priority" or "highest priority" or (one of my pet peeves) folks who think "penultimate" means "more than ultimate" rather than "less than ultimate" (i.e., next to the last), which is, in essence, what it means.

We won't even go into "quantum leaps", which are iin fact extremely small, even though folks affect to mean extremely large when the term is invoked.

Did I say "most unique"?
