Prices at SA, GW are all over the place. Last year this same SA had some pretty nice powered speakers with piano black finishes for 400 and they sat there for months. I found my first set of AR3's there for 19.99. My second set of 3's at a GW for 40.00. Go figure.Nice score, but anybody who thinks something dripping high end quality as those obviously are is only worth $10 needs to tossed out of the pricing process.
Hey David!Outstanding! Great luck Glenn.
Reason there is no to very little info on Vienna Acoustics on here is because they are too new! They are still around so Glenn may be able to get a new replacement direct. Better yet let's see if they take care of it. They may.
Hi Tim!You’ll probably end up using these more than any of the others when they’re complete. No they won’t have the visceral impact of the 910’s nor will they do the Maggie big sound wall magic, but they’ll be extremely musical, and will also throw a tight and consistent image and stage. Use the A-X9 or the 7050.
Thanks Manny! I had the same initial impression until I looked at the backs!Speakers aren't exactly quick sellers for thrifts sometimes. And those do indeed have that "fake" white van look about them. Except for the fact that in this case it's NOT fake! The finish on those is absolutely beautiful!
Great deal! Enjoy them!
he says 10 bucks! I couldn't open my wallet fast enough and load the car!
Hey Kw!I used to be a VA dealer. That's the score of the century. Even though they are 2 generations old, they are still great speakers, though. That's real hand-selected book-matched rosewood and if you notice, there's no visible seam where they join the veneer at the four corners of the baffle. That's a technique they developed in house.
They image extremely well and have a bit of relaxed midrange due to the tweeter being wired "backwards." I'm jealous.
