All of the old 7591's I've seen,regardless of manufacturer,seemed to use the 5-ply plate metal developed by Texas Instruments. Might explain how they managed to stuff so much dissipation into such a small bottle and maintain stability/reliability. I wonder how (if?) Tung-Sol has addressed this issue? Could also be why the EH examples are so large.
