I've picked up a coupla those Capitol tapes -- the boxes are just too cool as artifacts of their time.

Hi,

Since yesterday, I am the lucky owner of an Eico AF-4 amplifier.

I have to change the power transformer because now is for 110v input.
Does anyone have the schematic diagram with all the details or does anyone know the AC voltage output of the transformer or the DC voltage out value marked with Z in the PSU schematic)?

Here's a copy of the voltage and resistance table from the AF-4 instruction manual. The entire instruction manual is too large for me to attach.

Yes, is a better option and less expensive. I found a step down transformer for 20 euro.

I still have my AF4 after all these years.

If you are running 50Hz then the amp may benefit from the lower frequency...Kenneth

Today I had time to test the amplifier.
I was amazed that is working and the sound is very good.
The tubes are ok except EZ81. The EL84 and 7247 are the original ones.

After so much time this amplifier is working as in the first day.

I am planning to change the capacitors and most probably the sound will be improved.
