Just picked up my first ever turntable I found on FB marketplace.

Says it needs a new cartridge/stylus and I was just wondering if there was a specific type that’s needed?

Will probably need a cleaning/lube so if anyone has any good links or knows how to do this without messing anything up it would be much appreciated, thanks!

Most moving magnet or MI carts will work fine. the oft mentioned AT3600l will do a good job for little money.

My experience is the Shure M44 / M55 range work really well on my 50 mk2.

Cleaning the contacts in the headshell will pay dividends, sorting a replacement cartridge out at the same time is a good idea.
