It would help if you added your location to your user ID. There may be other AKers that are nearby.
Alrighty, I did the proper changes. Just to save you all the trouble of looking, I'm in upstate NY, around Catskill. Again, thanks for all the help you guys are giving me, this forum is sweet!

Do not buy anything that needs to be shipped. It's EXPENSIVE to pack and ship a table properly. And an unproperly-shipped table will be garbage long before it reaches you. These things are delicate.

Patience is the key. You need to retain a state of catlike readiness to leap on the local deal as soon as it happens.

Philips 212 is a pretty highly regarded table.

I like the Japanese '70s tables as they are plentiful, simple, reliable, sound good, and won't hurt your records. Interchangeable headshells are a feature I really like as it's much easier to install and swap cartridges.

In the last 6 months I have rebuilt two 212's and sold them to AKER'S who actually found them on CL
My second to is a 312
Yes shipping a tt can be a gamble or just expensive
Once you find so.ething you like determine if the source can ship it wisely and safely

I appreciate the concern guys. I've already started contacting the seller, first asking about the condition of the power button (apparently thats missing xD). After he responds, I'll see how he plans to ship this, and make a decision. If this falls through, I guess I'll just have to wait things out
