It appears that the method to control the tape speed has yet to be decided.

The first suggestion is to monitor the data rate of the music. Just what is the data rate for the music on an analog music cassette?

I guess we will have to wait for the reviews if that even happens, but with an optical speed sensor and a decent head they might have something.

Exposed tape is my biggest concern with this. All my walkman have a lid

Now i would love to try and make my own minimalistic tape player...
