Electro Voice model # SP128

Would anybody like to comment on Electro Voice model # SP128 speakers? I did some research and have not been able to find anything I can use.

When were they made?
Original cost?
How were they rated in there time?

That is what are in the custom speaker cabinets I picked up today.

Any opinions?

SP12B. 12" twincone fullrange drivers. Pretty good. Available for many years with a couple of different basket designs.

I think he is suggesting that it's an SP-12B, not an SP128.

they look like Chippendale style cabs made of maple...I had cabs like that with EV12trxb's in them.

They came with a custom made credenza I purchased. The credenza was made from Birds Eye Maple and I was told that the speaker cabinets were made by the same person at the same time. They are made from a different wood ( birch I think ) so maybe they are not custom like I was told. Is their a way to tell if they may be Chippendal?

I have inserted some pictures of the credenza. This thing was very well built ( check out the inlay on the top ) and I think is gorgeous. My plan is to take out all of the components and put in my Dynaco ST 70, Mcintosh C-26 and Thorens TT. I am also thinking of pulling the Electro Voice speakers from the cabinets and putting my JBL 110 cabinets ( remove the front panel) and all inside. I think they will fit
