Electro voice 16 ohm crossovers to 8 ohm Electro voice T350 Tweeters

I was wondering if I can use the electro voice 16 ohm crossover to a 8 ohm electro voice t350 tweeter? Or is there anything I can do so I can use the crossover for those beautiful t350 tweeters? Thank you.

T-35's are pretty efficient so you could just add a series resistor. BUt look up the spec sheet of a T-35 you might be surprised at the impedance at the 4500 HZ crossover frequency. EV had a 3600 cycle crossover for a two ways system but thats to low as the T-35's are so fragile. I would use a 7000 HZ crossover myself. But then you need a good midrange horn with an excellent driver. Later Altec, jBL, Emilar, and EV drivers designed for TWO ways systems could out perform the T-35 making it un-necessary. DH-1A for instance or a 802-8a as another. I used to use an Altec 10 inch woofer crossed to a T-35 at 4500 HZ as a small monitor that would put out a lot sound ported.

It's been mentioned before ( on this very subject ) that if the tweeter has a bit of excess spl to play with when compared to your other drivers, then simply wire an 8 ohm resistor in series onto the tweeter ( obviously after the crossover ) and then wire a .47uF capacitor ( in parallel ) onto that resistor.

That'll address the impedance issue as well as somewhat flatten the HF response of the tweeter itself.

Does the .47uF capacitor get wired parallel to the resistor (in series with tweeter) or parallel to the tweeter?
