Electro-Voice 4A Speakers

I have a chance to purchase a pair of Electro-Voice 4A speakers at a reasonable cost. Does anyone know anything about these speakers? I think they have 12" woofers, a 6 1/2" midrange and tweeter.

I will be picking them up tomorrow so any info will be welcomed.

Thanks,
Sal

John,
Those are the one's I am going to pick up. I was curious how they sounded. Thanks for the link on AK, I did a search yesterday but that post didn't show up.

I have a pair of EV 4's. Mine contain an 1824 3967 tweeter, 1825 3648 mid horn, 810 4475 woofer and the crossover is a board type not the "enclosed can" type in some EV's. I am driving them with a Kenwood intergrated K 5500 amp. They are set up in our den receiving input from our TV, a cheapo DVD player, and Polk XM tuna. This is the most listened to system in the house and I love the sound from these speakers. Have deep bass and very satisfying treble and mid. Havent taken them to the man cave to check them out on the main rig, as they are a bit heavy to drag up and down stairs.......

You will enjoy them in my opinion and can heartily recommend them. If you have any questions, pm me.....

No problem Sal!

I had a bit of time on my hands and figured I'd see what I could find. I've never heard them so I can't add anything there.

Enjoy your new speakers!
