Just picked up a pair of Ev Dh1a horn divers with Hp940 horns. Very cool, almost free, but with roasted diaphragms. I realize factory diaphragms are the safest bet, but at $200+ dollars each, that is way more than I want to spend. Has anyone had any luck with any of the various aftermarket diaphragms? looking forward to your comments, Andrew

Yes, hopefully he will chime in. Looking to put together a high eff. horn system for the basement. Father/son project, not ultra fidelity, but still want it to sound good.
 
Put original diaphragms in them, they're worth the expense. They are quite capable drivers.
