Electro-Voice Fourteen vs. KLH Thirty-Eight

I'm new on here so if I need to be directed to some other thread, please direct me.

I have some vintage Electro-Voice E-V Fourteen speakers and I also have some KLH Thirty-Eight speakers that were bought in 1974 by my father in law and have used throughout the years.

What I'm wondering is which ones are better? I'm using a 1974 Nikko STA-5010 amp with them.

Personally, and nothing for nothing, I'd take the EV14 though I'm guessing both would mate well with your Nikko STA-5010. I used to have the Nikko Alpha II amp and matching Beta pre-amp. They made some very decent kit back in the day. Built like tanks...

Thanks! Interestingly enough, as I did my own comparisons just from a listening sound point, the EV14's are much fuller and I can hear much more especially with drums. Feels like I'm in the room with the musicians. So, the KBL's which I still enjoy will get demoted to the bedroom . . . Thanks for the input!
