Electro-Voice Interface A Series IV - EQ?

I have a pair of Electro-Voice Interface A Series IV speakers. I know that the Interface A, B, C, and D generally use the external EQ, but I have read that the Series IV was redesigned so that the EQ was not needed. These have a tweeter pot on the speaker itself, a feature not present on the previous series of "A"s.

I have found a brochure for the Interface B Series IV and it does not mention the equalizer. Anyone have info or old documentation on the A Series IV?

If not, I have several of the EQs so I am planning on measuring with and without the EQ to see which is flatter.

Looked through a pretty fair amount of info I've compiled over time from EV. I have several things on the Interface A, but none mention Series anything, just Interface A. Nothing I see shows an HF control on the speaker either. So nothing I have really helps much.

One thing I did make note of is a mention that the EQ has a HP function down real low to protect over driving of the woofer. When EQ is added in you can see the value in this. But if you just the external EQ is not otherwise desirable, then over excursion of the woofer would be something to watch, though it would of course be less likely through not adding in the LF EQ bump up.

Oh and one other thing to add is that the Sentry 3's has adjustment on the cabinet for setting HF levels and the EQ also has HF controls. So having it the one place doesn't necessarily rule out the external EQ just from the fact that control is there.
