I have a set of those. They are really cool.
Woofers in heil cabinets typically are mid grade for the year they were made. They are not bad, but get killed by that heil.
Put in a good dayton DC300 and watch the speaker come into its own. You could do vintage as well, get a good old 10-12-15 woofer and cross it @ 1200 or so. Or run the tempest X.
Any more pics. My tempests are LS-5's they have a 10" woofer and the heil and a 10 radiator in the back.
Cool.

yeah i can post mor pics later they are in my wifes car.these just had the 12" woofer the diaphragm tweeters and a small bass port.no passive's and there is no model number just says tempest.the woofers have square magnets.but both woof's and tweets only have numbers on them.

The flatened heil they had in the tempests are incredible, they actually IMHO work better than the amt's, they are not a dipole, they beam a little, a lot less than the amt's IMHO, and that makes placement of these easy. Just by the wall, by a corner, suspended from the ceiling, side ways, anything works on em. Just sit in the right spot, miss it by no more than 2 ft and you're golden. There were 2 different ones - mine in the ls-5's have a round plate and a projection where the center grilled part is. The other style had a rectangular plate and it was flat all the way across ... both work great. The ls5 needs a sub for proper bass, and most of us run em in HT, so it makes a great HT unit.
Cool.
Srinath.
