EMI speakers

Just bought a set of Benjamin/EMI 92 off CL for $40. They are in very good shape and sound excellent. Could these speakers be re-purposed for a folded horn project? From what I can gather online is that these EMI speakers were sold through magazines ads for DIYer's and other companies who also bought them and put them in enclosures like Benjamin did with the pair that I purchased. I think they have decent specs and are very efficient. They are also very easy to remove, the enclosure has a screw on back so if used in another enclosure they could be installed in the original enclosures again. Not sure if this would work well but would like to build a set of folded horns on the cheap. The one positive would be there would not be a break-in period for these EMI's.

Any thoughts?

Your thread title caught my eye. I wish I could be of more help, but I know nothing of folded horns.

On the other hand, I've recently got some experience with a big pair of "EMI" (round) drivers. Love them! Some interesting comments on the net, most speaking about the nice EMI sound.
