Emit diaphragm beyond repair

I recently picked up a set of QAs and one of the emits is inop. Took it apart and the trace on the diaphragm is coming up in several places, broken in one spot and looks like it's had a failed attempt at a repair. My question is, is there anywhere to get the diaphragms? I've looked everywhere and I can't find them. Buying used ones for top dollar seems like a bad idea as they may end up being not much better.

I'm only $20 into the speakers. Should I repair the broken emit or use that money towards some QBs?

I've seen used EMITs (of varying vintage) on the bay go for as little as $25.00 each. At that price, probably not worth the headache of trying to repair diaphragm traces.

However, while I never owned a pair of Qbs, I did find that the midrange in the Qa was somewhat lacking. IMHO, of course. If you decided to go for the Qb, you could part out the Qas or discard the cabinets and keep the drivers as spares.

I'd get an orphan used Emit.

If you want to go up to a pair of Qb, you can sell a working pair of Qa.
