Let's start with this.
About the same time that I received my new speakers. My main amplifier developed an issue. A noticable hum.
With some regret, I called the engineer buddy that designed and built it to let him know that I was having a problem. He was able to troubleshoot the problem over the phone from 3,000 mile away.
It was a problem with the power management board. It just so happens that he had already deigned a new board, but hadn't ordered them yet. A few weeks later (today) the new board arrived. 20 minutes later it was installed.
To get to the point...... As soon as I started playing it, it brought a tear to my eye.
Now there are a few songs that do this to me as a rule. Pretty much every version of Amazing Grace.
I once heard a handicapped girl sing this at karaoke night at the hotel I was staying at, it was the most beautiful thing I have ever heard.
But what surprised me was the first song played was La Grange? Good Lord.... This amp speaker/ combo, at least to me evokes an emotional response that I wasn't expecting.
