Have been thinking about trying a new slightly higher end amp - looking for AK opinions/thoughts re these two lower-price Emotiva products. I have never owned any Emotiva gear. My main standalone amps in some of my secondary systems include Yamaha M-35s and various D amps, mostly 3116 and 3118, that I've hand-assembled, as well as some SMSL SA-50s that I throw in from time to time.
The A-100 intrigues me. Low cost, headphone as well as speaker operation, decent power (I have small rooms and mostly mid- to highly-efficient speakers). The A-150 jumps up to 75wpc at 8 ohms, which would give a little more slam.
I listen at low to mid volumes, mostly jazz, classical and electronic. Would the A-100 be worth considering?
