Empire 598 on CL

[gtxtom]

There's an Empire 598 on CL near me for $480. It looks complete and comes with a 2000 E/III cartridge with a bent stylus. It looks to be very clean. Does this seem like a decent price? They're sort of all over the place on eBay's sold listings ...

From the pictures, it looks like a fair price. All tables have gone up in price over the last few years and this is a nice table. Go for it!

That’s a market price, especially when you will need to get a replacement needle. But they don’t show up on CL too often so see if you can negotiate a better price. $400 would be max for me....

Is the arm supposed to bend like that near the pivot?

Hmmm...you're right. It's either the angle of the picture playing tricks on our eyes or the 598 used a different arm? My 208 arm was straight.

Just your friendly neighborhood enabler poppin' in to say "Do It" ;-)

and that's what the arm should look like
