Empire 598

I have just purchased an Empire 598 TT. First does anyone know how to identify whether it is a Troubador, MkII or MK III. There is a tag that say's 598 but no other designations. I am planning on taking it apart and replacing the belt, motor grommets etc. and relubing the entire drive assembly. Are there any specific problems I should watch for or be careful of. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance MK

Speaking of 598s.... I found this superb condition 598II for $7 at my local GoodWill... I provided a somewhat large image to show it's immaculate condition:

Please don't ask about purchase; I already sold it. It was a stunningly pretty unit, but I felt I would be better served with a modern high quality table/arm.

You may have sold the best table you'll ever own.

Uh huh. You have to spend a lot of money to improve upon the sound of an Empire in good condition. I low compliance cart will work wonderfully with those arms, too.

I'm still kicking myself for being slow on the uptake regarding an Empire 598. At least I got some other great tables as a consolation prize.
