Move the belt to the other pulley.

there is no speed switch button on the empire.do I have to pull the belt with my hand?

You have to manually move the belt to the 45 RPM pulley.

A hint on the manual, Vinyl Engine has the manual. (you must register to download).

The belt and motor pulley are normally hidden under a cover, so not the most obvious thing for a newcomer to figure out. And frankly a pretty annoying design if you constantly switch speeds, unless you leave the cover off.
