Empire experiment

Nice looking turntable there, Nate! No wonder it has become your main table. The old Empire tables are a great example of a quality product made to last.

Update...

A couple new accessories added, and it keeps getting better!

(I must remember to dust before taking pictures...)

Very nice Grado and record weight! Where did you get the weight? I have been wanting one of those for quite some time.

Check the Member Classifieds under Turntables. The seller ships almost immediately. It's very nicely made.

Sad to say, Americans today seem to be better at making debts and enemies than products... :sigh:[/QUOTE]

Wow, that was very eloquently put.....I would like to use that as my signature now. No truer words have ever been spoken.

I ended up getting a weight from ttweights.com. I haven't received yet, but I'll post a shot when I get it.

Very reasonable.

Somewhere between 30 and 50 years I'd guess? Built to run and that's just what Redboy is doing - running it. Oh so cool with the Grado. Nice job dude :)

Thanks to Nate for all of his great Wisdom!

Hey this is still a a work in progress. But i wanted to show an update. This was a brain child of the works by Nate, Randolph Carter, Jeff Wold, and Mike Paschetto. Thanks to all! It is almost there... Linn arm is in route from the UK and still need some iso feet of some sort. PS if you guys like the tt mat let me know... I am thinking about starting a production line of Empire accessories ie mats, exotic arm boards, custom plinths, and enclosures??

Hey you are very welcome Ryan. Although I'm pretty sure I don't belong being mentioned in the same breath with some of those others.

I have a Mike Paschetto built Bottlehead Foreplay, it is a masterpiece.

Is that your mat on ebay right now? I shared that link with Nate yesterday and we were admiring your table!

Wow man, just awesome, congrats on your new rig, way to go! :thmbsp::thmbsp:

Empire is top on my list of must have turntables, I was real close once. My dream table, I love the big bold build on those, tank like all the way.
Peace,
Preston

I saw Nate's Empire, recently. My neck is still sore from the recoil. Absolutely silent, as well.
Both Ryan's and Nates show what can be done with vintage stereo. Amazing. Good work, guys.

Guys you are making me blush!
Thanks for all the kind words~ But really It is guys like Nate willing to listen and lend words of wisdom to YoHas like your truly that spread the wealth! I cant wait to get my gd tonearm in. I haven't been able to listen to anything but CD these past few weeks and i gotta say that i am as done as can be with that nonsense. Cheers and Long Live the Empire Sound or the lack there of!
