end LP detection out after replacing phono cord DENON DP-57L

I was wondering if you were able adjust "End Detection Position"? I recently inherited a Denon DP-57L. Mine, (end detection) was working fine until after I replaced the factory phono cord, which seemed to have gone really well. I did however flip the unit over and back around 3 times before completing repair. I tried adjusting screw with TT in place to no avail. I can't say End Detection failed exactly after replacing phono cord, but is to close to be a coincidence. Thank you very much,
-John

Update: I fixed it! After staring at schematics and exploded views for a couple hours, I remembered that little one inch piece of black tape I removed when replacing the factory phono cord. Tape was covering soldered points for the phono cord. I sat it aside "temporarily" on what I now know to be the, shutter for the cds cell(s). I've included a couple of pics... I'm not sure I posted this thread correctly, but if so maybe it will help someone else. @Audiofreak71 @Hajidub
