EPI 100s v Advent v Dynaco

Hi all-

I just bought a pair of EPI 100's refoamed and in great condition for $125. I also have the opportunity to buy a pair of Advent Legacy's that are refoamed and in almost mint condition. They're $200 which I know is high but I've heard great things about this speaker and I like the look. I would also be buying them from someone I trust which in my book is worth a little extra cash.

Additionally on craigslist Klipsch KG3 $100, Dynaco A25 $150, Mirage M-460 $100,Onkyo S-11 $50 are all available, the seller says they're in good condition but who knows.

Could someone help me compare and contrast? I'm relatively knew at this. They'll be driven by a Pioneer sx780.

I'd not put $200 on Legacy whether I trust or not.
Too high. They are hard to sell even at $100.

KG3 for hundred is okay/good price but different sound due to horn.
Dynaco A-25 is highly rated and $150 is their going price.
Mirage M-460 is also high and I think they are more for home theater, not so much for music.
No idea about Onkyo.

Also many mention that A25s have a larger image and deeper bass while EPI 100s have tight/accurate sound.
Bass goes to Dynaco but the tweeter on EPI wins.
So if you like more/better bass, Dynaco; if you like better highs, tight/accurate bass, EPI.
However, there is good info on upgrading Dynaco tweeter to other like Morel MDT-20 but that's going to cost some.
 
Thanks for the input. I had heard the EPI's were a little light in the bass before I bought them. It's somewhat apparent but the room they're in is only 15x20 or and it's not noticeable enough that I feel like I'm missing anything.

With the right foam and when broken in the bass on the EPI 100 is quite good. It doesn't have the mid bass hump of the Dynaco but, I find them to be one of my favorite 2-way speakers, especially if they're in the walnut veneer.
 
I feel the Dynacos render a more rewarding and sophisticated listening experience than the rest of the lot.

EPI 100's and Dynaco A-25 are my choice. I have both but would pass on the rest it it were me.
 
So you bought the EPI's? I have the Epicure 11's which from what I've read are very very similar speakers (oddly enough, bought them 1 yr ago today). In my small listening room--after the new foam I installed got broken in--they have plenty of bass. Not "thumpin'" bass, but clear, well-defined bass. I love them. In fact, Today I hope to get by the Rat Shack to get some 5 way binding posts for them so I can get them back in rotation. I miss those babies.
