EPI 201 speaker efficiency

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows the efficiency of the EPI 201 speakers. I have a Marantz 2230 (30 watts per channel) and not sure if it will drive these speakers to their potential. I realize they have the 4 ohm option which should help. I am currently running a pair of B&W 601 bookshelves with the Marantz. I have looked everywhere and can't find any info regarding the efficiency of these old EPI speakers. Any help/advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Stop signs, eh? I used to have some round badges, I put Rogers Swivomatic hardware on them. They're long gone though.

it'll be fine. I ran some very inefficient Smaller Advents with my 2230 (IIRC they're like 82 or 84db/1w/1m) and they sounded great, and got loud enough to hear on the far side of the house one floor up without coming close to clipping.

Thanks for the reply michiganpat. I was wondering if they would be efficient enough to run with the 2230. And to Tom Brennan, yes I've got a natural maple stop sign kit kit from the 70's that I really love. Between them and my 69' Ludwigs I am set. Although I would really like to have a round badge kit at some point haha. Thanks for mentioning the drums! Anyone else know about the EPI 201's efficiency??

epi 201's with amp

I have a pair of 201's running with a Topping TP60 tripath amp. The 201's work at 4 ohm or 16 ohm. I run an iPod with a HRC streamer (outboard DAC) connected to the Topping. The Topping is rated 80 watts at 4 ohm or 50 at 8 ohm but the RMS is rated at 10% distortion at those levels. The real rating is whatever your amp can do at minimal distortion. My topping can do about 48 watts into 4 ohm at .1% distortion. It's okay for CD and FM but if you are doing phono or MP3 players, iPods, etc., some more upside would be nice. I had a vintage receiver that could do 55 watts at 4 ohms RMS @.1% distortion and that was more like it. You need more, in my opinion.
