I've never owned or heard a pair of EPI speakers before. But these look very interesting. What's a fair price on a pair in what seems to be very good condition.

Not them, just a pic for reference. Although the ones I am looking at the mids look a little different. They have larger dust covers on them.

I paid $500 for a pair in excellent condition about 3 years ago.
Very nice sounding speakers.
I researched them before buying on AK and they were compared to the AR 9.
I still have em.

I have 2 sets and they are quite nice. Huge bass. You probably ran across one of my posts on them here if you researched them as there aren't that many out there. I know of about a dozen or so. Mine were both garage sale specials, and only one's been redone. The tweeter pictured is a newer one, probably from a TE version speaker. Mine are the Masonite and gold rimmed ones.

Price is hard to say as they don't sell often and are big and heavy to ship. I'd probably let the seller make the first move to see what they are thinking of. You don't want to offer 2-3 times more than what he's thinking...

One of mine...

Epi 500

I have owned a pair of these (original purchase) since 1979. They have been through alot of use (movement) with refoaming the woofers and replacement of midrange drivers by 'Human Speakers'. They are very efficient and authoritative in bass with crisp top. They were design to be played loud and remain listenable without distorting. I agree, that you should let the seller name a price and work with them. I own too many speakers and yet I still keep these alive.

I know this is an older thread, but don't see much about these speakers so thought I would chime in.
I picked up a pair in need of repair they had been re-foamed both woofers and mids and the problem was just
a fried tweeter, I think I paid 120.00 or something around there. I found an exact match to replace the tweeter and the speakers sound very good, pushing aside some Klipsch 4.5 and ESS AMT 1b to be the main speakers for the last few months....I have found some Infinity Kappa 7, so if I get them they might lose that position.
