I picked up some EPI Epicure M90 speakers today for $15, not knowing much about the brand. I decided they looked like a good risk, after seeing the quality of the tweeter and interesting 8" woofer. However, the cheap vinyl veneer was peeling bad, and made them look worse that a pair of Panasonic Thrusters!
So, I pulled off the vinyl and they now sit "in the nude" waiting for a plan. I can't find any recent sales on these things to know if they'd be worth putting a real wood veneer on them. I read that the 90 is very similar to the 100's, where the 100's got a real wood and the 90's got a vinyl exterior and lost a tone control feature on the back.

However, I was hoping to hear about some personal experiences with them. They seem a bit power-hungry/inefficient to me, but they did sound real nice with great imagining. Here are mine:
