Epicure M90 Speakers

The 8" drivers need to be replaced in my Epicure M90. Someone removed the drivers and apparently tossed them. Probably only needed new foam. Oh well.

Can anyone tell me what the proper ohm rating should be for a replacement? I installed 8 ohm drivers and the balance between the tweeter and woofer is just not right. We did a quick check of the caps on the crossover and they does not seem to be the issue. Wondering if the replacement need to be something other than 8 ohm.

If you have a set can you check yours for me? The model number of the original driver would not hurt if you have that also.

Thanks

The drivers in my M90, S/N 08115, are 8 ohm. There is no model number on the woofer, which has a rubber surround. Check HUMAN Speakers.

Epi used a standard 8" woofer for all of their original models. Just look for an EPI/Epicure 8" driver from the 70s. Most of them have a blue tinted cone, but some are black/gray.

Join Barter Town on AK and you may be able to find one being sold by another AK'r.

Or buy from Human Speakers: http://www.humanspeakers.com/e/epi90.htm as rmp says.
