EQ help HELP!!!!!!

I know this has been posted before but I don't get it
I have a Sansui 8080DB and two pioneer RTR tape deck and a Pioneer EQ and when I hook it up I can only get one tape deck to work through the EQ can anyone post a drawing:cry: of how to hook it up

I know how, but I think I will let someone else tackle the drawing. As I'm not familiar with that Sansui model, do you have pics of the front & rear of the Sansui? Does it have tape 1 and tape 2 capabilities? How about dubbing from 1 to 2, 2 to 1? Pre in/out capabilities?

I THINK you want to put one tape deck on Tape 1 and the EQ on tape 2, then the second tape deck on the EQ tape ports.

You then leave the tape 2 monitor switch ON to get the EQ output.
Use the input selector to get Phono, FM, aux, etc...
TO listen to tape 1, use the Tape 1 monitor switch and I think this passes out through the tape 2 (dubbing in effect) into the EQ and will come back through tape 2 monitor.

To listen to the second tape deck, use the tape monitor switch on the EQ.
